STAYING POSITIVE DURING THE LOCKDOWN
Today is South Africa’s first day of the LOCKDOWN. I trust you and your loved ones are safe and abiding by the rules.
I am most certain that many are still working from home like we are. Due to the Lockdown, the demands for support for basic needs e.g. food and toiletries are very high. We are restricted due to lack of support. A Pledge from as little of R100.00 will help us help a family.
Herewith some TIPS during self-isolation.
- Try to Isolate yourself from the news because everything we need to know about the virus, we already know.
- Start by sending out positive messages and prayers to create a flow of positive energy
- We already have millions of people suffering from MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES and you might be one who cannot handle negative news
- Some people do not have the same mental strength as you, these messages could activate depression
- Your positive mood will protect your immune system, while negative thoughts have been proven to depress your immune system and make it weak against viruses
- Hopefully you have a list of things to do during the next 21 days
- Children must continue to do educational activities
- Time for us to work on projects we had on hold due to our busy schedules
- Couples facing challenges, great time to work on their relationship
- Parents this is a great opportunity for quality time with your children, connect with them. You will be surprised at how much you are unaware that is happening in your child’s life.
- Discuss basic safety on crimes of circumstances and crisis to equip your children so they don’t fall victims e.g. human trafficking, teen pregnancy, bullying, Substance abuse, etc
- Maintain discipline at home by washing your hands and go out only when desperately needed. By this act, you will be saving lives. (STAY AT HOME)
- Most importantly, the Universe is created by a Higher Being, called God, who is a God of Love. This pandemic will pass so continue to pray, and do your part to contain this virus
