The foundation’s mission is to help people to live free from violence and abuse by providing quality, compassionate, confidential and reliable services that foster self-respect, independence and hope.

HOPE to Heal Foundation held a dinner to launch its new magazine on February 1 at the Pyramid Conference and Venue Centre in Selby.

Executive director Seema Naidoo said the foundation, which was recently introduced to the South, also intends to launch two books in March, titled Knowledge is Power 1 and Knowledge is Power 2.

The foundation’s mission is to help people to live free from violence and abuse by providing quality, compassionate, confidential and reliable services that foster self-respect, independence and hope.

Its mandate is to lead the struggle against bullying, domestic violence, abuse, rape, suicide, human trafficking and teenage pregnancy through advocacy and community education.

“We will be doing awareness workshops in schools and continue with some of the projects that we already started, such as feeding schemes and the distribution of school bags and stationery,” said Naidoo.

Hope to Heal Foundation conducts education and feeding outreach programmes.

It also participates in healthcare services by raising funds for specialised medical treatment for women suffering from rare medical conditions.
