Action For Freedom World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

Human Trafficking is one of the fasted growing organised crimes in the world, affecting billions of lives and generating billions of dollars profit per annum. It is a serious crime and a grave violation of a person’s human rights and an egregious assault on its victims.
Although Slavery was abolished in 18th Century, Modern-Day Slavery has become a momentous global crisis in the 21st Century.
Women and Children are brutally abused, raped, drugged, and murdered. Victims and Survivors who have no way of escape end up committing suicide as they feel trapped and misunderstood and see no other way to end their excruciating pain.
Innocent children are robbed of their innocence and freedom of life and are exploited into various types of human trafficking such as, child labour, child porn, soldiers, child marriages. Due to the global economic crises, children from vulnerable communities are at high risk of being exploited into child labour.

Rise Up and Raise your Voice against Human Trafficking

Hope to Heal Foundation is the first point for survivors before cases are handed over for investigation. Working with human trafficking over the past three years, Seema Naidoo the Founder of the Hope to Heal Foundation, identified the gap for trauma informed services and programmes for victims and survivors of Human Trafficking and stepped in to fill the gap by opening the first Wellness Centre in South Africa, The Hope to Heal Wellness Centre: “where Healing begins, and Dignity is restored”.

The Hope to Heal Wellness Centre has been created to bring holistic healing to victims and survivors of human trafficking and to facilitate their effective re-integration into society. Through partnerships with Professionals’, we are offering a bouquet trauma informed services and programmes. We have come so far in translating our conceptual Vision into a beautiful, tranquil reality, through generous donations, partners, and service providers. For our effective operation of the Wellness Centre, we require committed support and partnerships so that Victims feel respected, honoured and physiologically secure.
