Riverlea, situated in the South of Johannesburg, is a poor community, ravaged by a high unemployment rate, with stats that would challenge the best of funded organisations. With an 8O% rate of substance, drug, child and domestic abuse, child trafficking, combined with ever growing HIV and mental health issues. It is not hard to track the kind of support an organisation like Hope To Heal Foundation actually needs, to continue to do the work we do and give the support these communities need, that go far beyond a food parcel.
Hope to Heal Foundation, Community Support Centre Manager, Beryl Jegels also works closely with this community dealing with child abuse, child rape, substance abuse, mental health and domestic violence.
Today our Hope to Heal Foundation team from the Community Support Centre in the South delivered hampers to fifty families. The need is much greater, though, we can only uplift as many families according to support that comes in.
Hence why, we welcome the corporate and private sector to partner with us to help uplift more families.
