This is an alert to the Greater Eldorado Park Community. According to a press statement issued by the Eldorado Park Police, human trafficking within the community is on the rise.

“This horrific act has escalated over the past few weeks. We have received a large number of complaints from residents regarding human trafficking,” said Fezeka Khobo, the communications officer at the Eldorado Park police station.

“We have decided to take it upon ourselves to educate the community about what trafficking is all about, how people are trafficked and the causes of trafficking for the people to safeguard themselves.

“Trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings for commercial sexual exploitation or forced labour: a modern-day form of slavery. Human trafficking is a crime against humanity and it is punishable by the state,” Khobo added.
